Biography
I am Professor and Chair of Political Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, a senior college of the City University of New York. I earned my Ph.D. from Stony Brook University in 2007.
My research examines American politics and I have published work on electoral politics, the pork barrel, political behavior, and all three branches of the federal government.
In addition to my academic work, I have consulted on elections in Canada and the United Kingdom.
With our politics so polarized, pork barreling surely doesn't matter, right???
Actually, it has mattered more lately than it has in the past. Click the links to find out why!
